Rainbow Serpent

Valerij and I were climbing on the oposite side of the Recital Hall on Ferful Symmetry
while JC D. with partner was doing the first seasonal ascent of RB.

He is just at the height of a big horizontal crack, that was not visible from bellow,
but quite clearly later on from higher up on Fearful Symmetry.

We had just enough time to swap the ropes and
enough light for me to finish the pitch with no headlamp :)
However, for Ken's seconding his headlamp was an essential tool :(
Next time we have to start earlier from the car, not at 10:30.
Getting up at 6am was too late and car troubles did not help the improve the matter.

After wrecking 3 out of 4 chains we finnaly arrive:)

Kirsten and I found some good end of season ice one Sunday before Easter on Louise Falls.
The upper pillar was climbed three times, once via a britle free hanging pillar (on TR) for an all out pump :)
A week later LL was still up, Polar circus was a bit wet but with superb sticks.
Last ice climbing day for the season was spent on Profesor Falls and Sacre Blue,
both in excellent conditions :)
